Cabinets To Go Officially Opens Headquarters in Lawrence County
On Saturday, Cabinets To Go had their official ribbon cutting ceremony as the company opens its national headquarters in Lawrenceburg, creating 88 new jobs in Lawrence County. Cabinets To Go is an American furniture retail store chain, specializing in kitchen cabinets and bathroom vanities. TV personality and company pitchman Ty Pennington was also on hand for the event.
All total, Cabinets To Go will invest $9 million in the facility, which will consist of its national headquarters, warehouse and distribution center, East Coast customer care call center as well as retail space which will be used for training. In August, company officials said they will also be relocating its main distribution center from Redlands, Calif. to Lawrenceburg, citing Tennessee’s central location and its proximity to many Cabinets To Go locations as the reason behind the decision.
The addition of Cabinets To Go, along with several other new companies, have recently helped lower the county's unemployment rate to a 20 year low. According to the State of Tennessee, in October, Lawrence County's unemployment rate stood at 5.7%, which is down from 17.2% in 2010.
