County Executive TR Williams, Chairman Pro-Tempore Chris Jackson, Road Superintendent Donnie Joe Brown and various local media outlets recently attended a press conference with Bridget Jones of the Transportation Coalition of Tennessee, to announce new TDOT projects and funds that Lawrence County and its cities will receive through the IMPROVE Act.

All told, once fully implemented, Lawrence County will receive an additional $754,000 per year in funding from the State to help pave county roads. This new funding, coupled with the recent local funding approved by the county commission for road improvements, will dramatically improve the infrastructure for Lawrence County citizens in the years to come.
