The Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce, Lawrenceburg Utility Systems, and local leaders joined the Tennessee Department of Economic & Community Development to announce more than 300 jobs and $12.5 million investment this week.

On Monday, December 18, Cabinets to Go announced that it would invest an additional $6.5 million in its Lawrenceburg facility and create more than 70 new jobs to support its new hardwood flooring manufacturing line.

This announcement comes only 1 year after Cabinets to Go opened its national headquarters and warehousing & distribution operations at 2230 W.O. Smith Drive in Lawrenceburg.  “We have been thrilled with the support of the local community and the State of Tennessee, and look forward to growing Cabinets To Go in Lawrence County for many years to come,” Jerry Burdock, CEO and president of Cabinets To Go, said.

On Tuesday, December 19, Martin Technologies announced that it would establish a new facility in Lawrenceburg—creating 240 jobs.  Headquartered in New Hudson, Michigan, Martin Technologies is a full-service engineering and manufacturing company, providing global mobility solutions to the automotive, marine, aerospace, and defense industries.  The company will initially occupy 60,000 square feet within the former Murray Ohio Manufacturing facility.  “This move represents an exciting growth segment for Martin Technologies,” Harold Martin, CEO and founder of Martin Technologies, said. “We have steadily grown our team for more than 21 years. We are founded on a motorsports culture of fast reaction, precision, efficiency and innovation. We are blessed by the welcome and accommodation of Lawrence County. This location is key to our engineering expansion as we are rapidly expanding our global footprint. We have plans to hire approximately 240 people to accommodate our growing customer base in the local market, bringing additional economic growth to Lawrence County.”

“I am grateful to be on a team dedicated to growing Lawrence County,” explained County Executive TR Williams. “These investments by Cabinets to Go and Martin Technologies verify that Lawrence County is a great place to do business.  Our assets and initiatives—the college project, our school system, roads, and local businesses—create an environment where industry is successful.”

“Each investment announced this week will significantly boost the city’s already booming economy and will give workers traveling away from Lawrenceburg yet another quality job opportunity here at home,” said Mayor Keith Durham.  “The City of Lawrenceburg is pleased to welcome Martin Technologies to Lawrenceburg and congratulate Cabinets to Go for their continued success. What a great way to end a great year!”

The Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce is the designated economic development authority in Lawrence County and it credits the greater LawCo team with making each of these announcements possible.  “Our community is not only growing by quantity, but by quality,” stated Ethan Hadley, Chamber of Commerce President & CEO.  “These announcements would not be possible without the quality partnerships we have with our state, county, and municipal leaders.”
