County Commissioners honored Lawrenceburg’s State Champion 6U Cal Ripken All-Star team at their Tuesday, July 25 meeting.
The team went undefeated in the tournament, outscoring opponents 60-21. In bracket play, they defeated Hendersonville in four innings, 19-4. In the Championship game, they won against White House 23-9 in five innings.
Coaches say these young men displayed great resilience and toughness, playing multiple days on unfamiliar fields in temperatures that reached the mid-to-upper 90s.
State Championship team members are Rhett Hutton, Aiden Adkins, Grady Johns, Max Hartsfield, Keegan Bryant, Shepherd Story, Brooks Killen, Ky Tinin, Liam Burnett, Colt Parish, Pacey Gobble, and Asher Gibbs. Coaches include Head Coach Brady Hutton, Nathan Hartsfield, Holden Killen, and Tyler Parish.
