The Shelter Inc.

The Shelter, Inc. provides crisis care, counseling and continuing support for victims of domestic violence. Through community education and advocacy, we help to promote the change of social attitudes in order to end the cycle of abuse.

Center of Hope

Center of Hope is a refuge of peaceful existence providing innovative and compassionate direct advocacy, therapeutic counseling, and residential services to victims of domestic abuse, sexual violence, stalking, and human trafficking.

Kid's Place

Kid’s Place/A Child Advocacy Center provides free services to children who have been victims of sexual or physical abuse in Lawrence, Wayne, Giles, and Maury Counties.

MyRide Lawrence

MyRide TN is an expanding, sustainable, senior-friendly volunteer transportation service that has taken root in Tennessee. Volunteer drivers use their personal vehicles to carry older Tennesseans to a variety of destinations, including medical appointments and grocery stores.

Give A Kid A Chance

The purpose of this program is to help students from Kindergarten to 12th grade get ready for the 2020-21 school year.  We partner with the local faith-based community as well as various county resource agencies to offer these services to the community.

IAM4kids Mentoring

IAM4kids is a faith-based 501(C)3 not-for-profit organization that has successfully been able to unite the community (local churches, civic groups and community clubs) to work in conjunction with the school system since 1996.

Lawrence County Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition (LCSAPC)

The mission of the Coalition is to create positive cultural change to reduce substance abuse among youth and adults in Lawrence County.

Community Thrift Store (God’s Storehouse)

God’s Storehouse (GSH) is a local non-profit ministry helping those in need in a variety of ways. GSH operates a food bank working with local volunteers and Second Harvest to minimize the impact of hunger in Lawrence County.

Working Dogs for Vets

Working Dogs for Vets Mission is to provide service dogs and training to disabled heroes in need, empowering them as they return to civilian life with a new found independence; reducing suicide and overcrowding in animal shelters.

Friends of Lawrence County Animals

FOLCA is a local non-profit with the mission of supporting animal-welfare related efforts throughout Lawrence County.

The Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce is a network of businesses, industries, local governments, and private citizens that are committed to improving the quality of life in and around the Lawrence County, Tennessee region through economic, tourism, workforce, and retail development.

Girl Scouts of Middle Tennessee

Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place. Innovative programming for girls in grades K–12 includes Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics (STEAM), Outdoor Adventures, Life Skills, and Entrepreneurship. Historical Society

The organizations main objective is to preserve the county’s history, while educating people on the importance of keeping history alive and passing the knowledge from one generation to the next.

Genealogical Society

A non-profit organization established to collect and preserve the ancestry of Lawrence County families, to stimulate and instruct all persons interested in genealogy, to develop and record historical and vital facts of the people who originated, developed and helped build our great county.

Friends of the Lawrence County Public Library

The Friends of the Lawrence County Public Library was founded in 2000 as a non-profit 501c3 organization whose mission it is to support the Lawrence County Public Library and its programs. Dues and contributions are tax deductible as allowed by law. To learn more and join the group, visit the main branch of the Library at 519 E. Gaines, Lawrenceburg.
