Pursuant to Tenn. Code Ann. Section 5-5-105, County Executive David Morgan is calling a special meeting of the Lawrence County Board of County Commissioners to be held on Friday, September 6, 2024, at 5:00 p.m., to accept the resignation of Nicky Hartsfield from the Lawrence County Board of Education.
This meeting will be held in Courtroom A, on the second floor of the Lawrence County Courthouse. Lawrence County Commission meetings are open to the public and a time is provided at the beginning of the meeting for residents to comment on matters relevant to the items on the agenda. A sign-in sheet for those wishing to address the Commission is available before the Call to Order and those who do not sign in will not be recognized. There is a time limit of three minutes for each speaker.
Before the Commission meeting, the Commission’s Budget Committee will convene to approve budget amendments that will then be included on the agenda of the Special Session. This Committee meeting will begin at 4:45 p.m. in Courtroom A in the Courthouse.
