Lawrence County Commissioners will hold two committee meetings on Thursday, September 19. The Highway Committee will meet at 4:00 to consider a petition to lower the speed limit on Long Road. The Purchasing, Solid Waste, and Budget Committees will meet at 4:30 to recommend an architect/engineer to construct a new Health Department and open bids to recommend a new solid waste hauler. Both recommendations will go to the full Commission for approval on September 24.
The meetings will be held in the second-floor conference room of the Administrative Center and the public is welcome to attend.
