Lawrence County Government extends its sympathy to the family of 4th District Commissioner Roy Dale Hagan, who passed away November 29 from complications related to cancer treatment. Visitation with the family is set for 4-8 p.m. Monday, December 2 at Loretto Memorial Chapel. The funeral service will also be held there at 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 3.
Commissioner Hagan was a lifelong resident of the Fall River Community, a founding member of the Crossroads Volunteer Fire Department, a cattle farmer, and retired from Murray Manufacturing Company and Delta Steel & Tube in Florence, AL.
“Roy was passionate about helping his community and Lawrence County,” said County Executive David Morgan. “He was a valued member of the Commission.”
“He will also be missed for his happy personality. We could always count on Roy to bring a little humor and sunshine into any room.”
