The Lawrence County Commission held a productive Special Session Monday evening with several key wins for the county. Most importantly, the FY 2025-2026 budget was approved, keeping essential services funded and operations running smoothly.
FY 25–26 County Budget Approved. Continued support for local nonprofits and charitable organizations. Interlocal agreement approved for the joint operation of the Animal Shelter. Contract approved for construction of the new Health Department office. One-time contribution approved for Lawrence County Fire & Rescue. Budget amendments passed for both the County and Board of Education.We appreciate everyone’s work and input to keep Lawrence County moving forward!
