UPDATE: Committee Meetings for September

The Lawrence County Board of Commissioners has adjusted its calendar, rescheduling two meetings and announcing several more for September 2025.

AGENDA MEETING 

  • Will convene September 2nd at 4:30 PM.
  • Discuss items to consider for the September 23rd Regular Session agenda.
  • Rescheduled from the original September 9th meeting date.

EMERGENCY SERVICES COMMITTEE

  • Will convene September 2nd at 5:00 PM.
  • Discussion of minor policy changes needed to accommodate new EMS billing company.
  • Medical examiner and morgue discussion.
  • EMS update and general discussion.
  • County Fire update and discussion

HIGHWAY COMMITTEE

  • Will convene September 4th at 5:00 PM.
  • Consider and discuss the school system request regarding a road at Summertown.
  • Discussion to consider a speed limit change in District 13.

VETERANS SERVICES COMMITTEE

  • Will convene September 4th at 5:30 PM.
  • Quarterly meeting to discuss updates and hear a report for the Veterans Services department from Veterans Service Officer, Donnie Morris.

HUMAN RESOURCES COMMITTEE

  • Will convene September 8th at 5:00 PM.
  • Considering pay period dates and stipends for Commission and employee training.

RESOLUTION COMMITTEE

  • Will convene September 11th at 4:30 PM.
  • Discuss resolutions to consider for the September 23rd Regular Session.
  • Rescheduled from the original September 18th meeting date.

ECD/TOURISM/NONPROFIT COMMITTEE

  • Will convene September 11th at 5:00 PM.
  • Discuss updates and hear a report from the Chamber of Commerce President, Ryan Egly.

FACILITIES/PROPERTY COMMITTEE

  • Will convene September 11th at 5:30 PM.
  • STHEC-Columbia State discussion.
  • Discussion of the Sheriff’s Department façade and overall Courthouse exterior upgrades.

BEER BOARD

  • Will convene September 12th at 9:00 AM.

REGULAR SESSION

  • The Lawrence County Board of Commissioners will convene September 23rd at 5:00 PM for Regular Session.

NOTE:

The public is welcome to attend any meeting and may discuss any items relevant to the agendas.

All committee meetings will be held in the second-floor conference room of the County Administrative Center located at 200 W. Gaines St. Lawrenceburg, TN 38464. 

The Regular Session will be held in Courtroom A of the County Courthouse located at 240 W. Gaines St. Lawrenceburg, TN 38464.
