New Circuit Judge – Jessie Parrish

On August 5, 2024, Jessie Chandler Parrish was sworn in as the new Circuit Judge for the 22nd Judicial District by Tennessee Supreme Court Justice Roger A. Page. Parrish worked as a clerk for Page following her graduation from law school.
 
A large crowd was on hand for the event. Other speakers included fellow Circuit Judge Caleb Bayless and Pulaski Street Church of Christ minister Jacob Evans, who opened the proceedings with prayer.
 
A native of Lawrence County, Judge Parrish earned her bachelor’s degree at Austin Peay State University and her Juris Doctor at the University of Memphis. Over the past six years, she has worked as Assistant District Attorney, initially serving in Giles County before transferring to Lawrence County.
 
Judge Parrish was appointed to succeed Circuit Judge David Allen, who recently retired.
