April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month, a time to raise awareness and support efforts to protect the well-being of children.
Today, Lawrence County Executive David Morgan and Lawrenceburg Mayor Blake Lay officially proclaimed April 2025 as Child Abuse Prevention Month in Lawrence County. This proclamation also celebrates the 25th anniversary of Kid’s Place/ A Child Advocacy Center, which has spent the past 25 years helping thousands of children and families in the 22nd Judicial District of Tennessee – Giles, Lawrence, Maury, and Wayne Counties.

We recognize and honor the incredible work of Kid’s Place staff, board members, and vital partners from law enforcement, child protective services, and the District Attorney’s office. Their dedication helps children overcome the trauma of abuse and avoid the long-term effects it can cause.
