LOCATION: 815 Gaither Ave., Lawrenceburg
HOURS: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Mission:
We work tirelessly to ensure each animal receives proper medical attention, socialization, and the opportunity to find a loving forever home. Through community outreach, education, and responsible adoption practices, The Lawrence County – Lawrenceburg Animal Shelter strives to promote animal welfare and strengthen the bond between pets and people across the region.
The Shelter Director is Ginger Morgan, who formerly served as Executive Director of the Memphis & Shelby County Humane Society. Prior to that, she was recognized as the organization’s Volunteer of the Year in 2001 and 2003.
Morgan is also the Co-Founder, Executive Director, and Board President of The Puppy Up Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to finding a cure for canine cancer. She is a certified American Red Cross Pet First Aid Instructor.
Vision:
Our vision is a compassionate, united community where every dog is valued, spay and neuter programs end the cycle of unwanted litters, and no animal is left without care or a loving home. Through education, collaboration, and unwavering dedication, we aim to reduce overpopulation, inspire responsible pet ownership, and build a future where the bond between people and animals enriches all of Lawrence County.
At this time, call Animal Control ONLY to report abuse/neglect or dogs running off leash.
