Phillip Heatherly was appointed by Commissioners at the December 5, 2019 Special Session to fill the 12th District seat vacated with the resignation of Jim Modlin, then was elected to a second term in August 2022. He is a lifelong resident of the Center community. He and his wife Becky have been happily married for more than 20 years.
Phillip is a graduate of Summertown High School and has managed or owned a business for the last 19 years. Becky is a 14-year employee of the Maury Regional Cancer Center Pharmacy. Both children attend Summertown schools.
Phillip and his family are active members of Midway Church of Christ where Phillip has served as a deacon for many years. His family are all members of Henryville Community Club. He attends its meetings the first Monday of every month to be active in the community and report on Commission business. Phillip, Becky, their son Blaine and daughter Lauren enjoy living in District 12.
Phillip serves on the Commission’s Budget, Resolution, Delinquent Property Tax Sales, and Utilities/Energy Efficiency committees.
