Tammy Wisdom represents the 15th District in Lawrence County. She was elected in 2016 to complete an unfulfilled term on the county commission, then again in 2018 and 2022. After she took office as a commissioner, Tammy was a part of the graduating Leadership Lawrence County Class of 2017-2018.
Tammy was born and raised in Lawrence County where she graduated from Lawrence County High School. She is the daughter of J.C. and Jeanette Wisdom. Tammy is married to Danny Wisdom, an employee of Frito-Lay in Pulaski. They have two sons “that I am very proud of,” she states. Will Wisdom graduated from the University of Tennessee Knoxville in 2018 with a degree in Aerospace Engineering and is now employed at Lawrenceburg Utility Systems. Colby Wisdom graduated from Martin Methodist College in 2020 with a degree in Biology and is now at Lincoln Memorial University studying to become a Physician’s Assistant.
Tammy is a member of The Barn church. She has a diploma in Medical Billing and Coding along with a certification in Phlebotomy. She worked at Dura Automotive Systems for 24 years, sold home interiors & gifts for 15 years, worked for the Lawrence County School Board as a substitute teacher, and is currently working at Story and Lee Furniture.
Tammy currently serves on the Commission’s Animal Welfare, Human Resource, Technology, and Resolution Committees.
